What is ETEEAP?
  • Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) is an educational assessment scheme which recognizes knowledge, skills and prior learning obtained by individuals from non-formal and informal education experiences.
  • It credits experiential learning into the formal higher educational system.
  • Written test, interview, product presentation, skills demonstration, portfolio assessment, and other creative assessment methodologies are used for evaluation and assessment of experiential and prior learning.
  • A panel of assessors determines the candidates’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes relevant to a particular discipline.
  • After completing the equivalency and accreditation procedures, the successful applicant is awarded equivalent credits and an appropriate academic degree by the deputized higher education institution.
